This four-week series examines the idea of God being silent during the time between the Testaments and what that reveals about him during the Christmas season. God is always working; we see that God was with his people in the Book of Daniel, he gave promises in the Book of Isaiah, and he showed love in the Book of Esther. All these themes are revealed in the birth of Jesus. Additionally, as you may know, Christian life certainly has its seasons when God seems distant and silent. Understanding this to be a normal part of the life of faith is important, so we’re not caught unaware. More than that, God can use these times to grow our faith. We can rely on the promises that God will never leave us and that the inner work of the Spirit will help us persevere and experience God’s faithfulness!
